CBC Is Hearing You
Just an update here on the CBC smoking policy.
A meeting was held on Friday for all employees who handle blood, not a smoking related meeting, and during the meeting the question was asked if the new procedures were responsible for the sudden decrease in blood units (or supply). The answer was given that no, the procedure had not impacted the amount of blood they were receiving, but that it was the news!
I did some checking and found that even the Washington Post picked up a link to the story, further demonstrating that CBS did wonders to get the story heard. Furthermore, apparently many of the blood donors in DFW saw it, and for whatever reason, have thought twice about doing business with an organization that acts the way CBC has.
I say, good for you.
