Broke Sanity

Taking a bite out of intelligence

Bills, Change, and Money

with one comment

The rat race is starting to near a breaking point in its current form. The last few weeks have been a bit unusual for me with all the CBC stuff I’ve been dealing with, but the next few weeks, or longer, could get pretty interesting too.

I’ll lay out a quick run down as of today. I actually like my job, though it doesn’t pay enough anymore, but the management team I work for is … a little stupid. Example, they know for months that a certain employee is going on vacation, and to cover her shifts, they take away from another position without filling it first. The relief and I were working on it the night before. Real smart there.

One of my instructors is a complete asshole that would rather pick a fight than answer a question regarding policy, policy for Christ’s sake, like it’s hard to explain what work passes and what work fails when you have the great example of the work failed to use. To be clear, I didn’t fail; the dumbass decided that the rules were different for me. I’m working it out.

Cash flow around here is unbearably short, so tomorrow, after I pick up my check, I will take advantage of being within a couple of miles from two jobs I want to apply for. Then I’ll figure out a way to make ends meet for two more weeks, until I can do it all over again. After that though, since my DPS surcharges will be paid in full and my truck paid off, things should start to look up a bit. If I get the job I’m looking at too, the money is a bit better which will further alleviate the rat race.

Thanks for watching kiddies, nite-nite.

BTW - Hope you like the new look, been working towards simplicity of this level for some time, but I finally reached my goal. Don’t expect any major changes in the near future. I like it this way. Made it easier for you guys to vote for stories and polls, as well as comment on entries as well, you don’t have to register to use anything. In fact, you can’t register at all.

I have to give the guy props though, the instructor I mean. Our problems are just short of angrily displayed in private, but in public, he isn’t holding anything against me for some of the things that he thinks I said about him.

Nice to see how professional he can be.
