Good Start for Chrome
I’m writing this post to you from Google’s new browser, Chrome, and the first thing I noticed was that, as advertised, ALL of my plugins work perfectly with Chrome. To see what exactly that means, click the Plugin Credits link to see all of the plugins I use.
It looks a little wierd at first, but it’s pretty fast, it actually increased the page load of the site that I load daily in different browsers, this site. It is very simplistic in its user interface design, which is kind of leaving me wondering where everything is. Of course, when I get off work tonight I’ll have a few minutes to play with it.
I would think that this is going to be a hot download item over the next few days. Might as well get your share of the action and check it out.
Damn it loads fast. I use Firefox3, IE7 and IE8, as well my primary browser, Safari 3.1.2 and Chrome takes each of those hands down as far as speed goes.
Google Chrome and Gustav
Have you ever just felt like saying something, even though you had no clue what to say or why anything needed to be said? If you ever feel that way, you should start a blog; that way you can write about it, and inevitably someone will read it before deciding that you might be an ass. It’s why I blog …
So it’s 01:57, and I’ve been sitting on my ass today; I haven’t really gotten anything productive done. Okay, so I did reattach the door panel in my truck, but I didn’t determine why it came loose to begin with. I also took out the trash, but I didn’t put another bag in the can. Like I said, nothing productive.
I have read a lot of different things today, between each old episode of House M.D. that I watched. Great show!
I read about hurricane Gustav and the not-so-terrible effects of its landfall. It was actually something that I looked for when I woke up at 3:30 this afternoon. Last night when I left work I discovered that the company I work for was going to devote several of its buses to help unload the seven planeloads of Gustav evacuees. I left long before that was scheduled to happen, but I wanted to stay and help out. Just feel bad that they have to deal with anything like this again, after what happened before.
Teacher Spanks Pupil, A UoP Saga
Have you ever managed to get stuck with a complete moron, that you don’t work for?
I have been just that misfortunate, and have landed myself dealing with an instructor that thinks he is God, and I am just some servant to please his desires to be amused. It’s not that big of a problem really, as long as I don’t have anything tying me to that ignorant prick.
Which brings me to something else that has been on my mind, and again, I’ll ask you a question. Have you ever denied being embarrassed or ashamed of something only to turn around and, daily, act on the shame and embarrassment that you actually do feel about something? That is how I feel about this higher education that I am working at, though I tell myself and others that I don’t.
Honestly, I don’t think I do; yet each time I have a reason to mention it, whether it is on this site, or to anyone else, like for the specific purpose of explaining why my Internet connection is so important, I shy away from the conversational path that leads in that direction. Which is to say, I refuse to tell anyone, that doesn’t already know, that I am earning a degree online.
